Description
This snap‑on filmstrip guide attaches to the bottom of the Super Cool Projector (diavetítő) to keep the fed filmstrip moving smoothly during projection. It routes the filmstrip forward and then upward in a controlled path, preventing the film from snagging on your clothing or legs, especially when projecting in your lap or on soft surfaces.
Designed with six alignment pegs for a secure fit. For best strength, print in the rotated orientation (relative to the "flat" layout) — supports required. Printed and tested with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layer height in PLA.
Orientation note: I recommend keeping the rotated orientation to ensure the filmstrip path aligns properly with the rail grooves during use, avoiding layer line interference.
Known limitation: The two curved sections near the build plate may show layer lines and slight surface texture due to the geometry and support interaction. This is a known printing challenge with this orientation; I'm continuously refining the print settings to minimize this. Feedback welcome!
Assembly:
Gently unclip the original rail from bottom of the projector

Snap the new guide rail into place — the six alignment pegs will click securely into position

- Enjoy smooth filmstrip projection!
Includes: STL + 3MF files.
