Description

Clean and lubricate the printer's linear steel rods in seconds.

This tool is for use on 8mm linear rods using a microfiber cloth. For optimal results, please follow these steps:

First remove the supports and brim:

In the next step, gently sand down any remaining material after the support (you can use a Dremel or do it by hand) to achieve the smoothest possible surface:

It should look something like this.

Next, cut a piece of microfiber cloth measuring approximately 34 x 15 mm of thickness approximately 0,4mm.

Insert one end of the microfibre cloth into the slots as follows.

Pull the microfiber cloth inside and pull the other end out (see picture).

The easiest way is to push the microfiber cloth using a thin flat object, such as a knife.

Now you have a cleaning tool head as shown in the picture.

You can trim the rest of the fibre cloth to look like this.

In the next step attach this tool head to the tool handle and start working.

You can use it for cleaning with isopropyl alkohol and you can lube with it too.

The microfiber cloth ensures that the lubricant is evenly applied to the surface of the linear rods.

The shape of the tool allows you to clean and lubricate all linear rods, including the rear one, which is more difficult to access.
