Description

This is a two-piece light switch cover for Japanese Panahome Cosmos Wide 21 horizontal rocker switches.

These are useful for when you want to block access to a light switch, but you don't want to remove it entirely. I do this for rooms with smart lights so that people don't cut power to my lights, and my friends have used this to toddler proof some rooms as well. If you use Switchbot buttons, take a look at the version that has an integrated Switchbot button case.

This is printable as-is in PLA, PETG, or ASA. I've tested all three.

There are two sets of liners available:

  • If you'd like a snug fit with an ASA cover, use the liner on  `Print PLA or PETG for ASA cover`
  • If you want a snug fit with a PLA/PETG cover, use the liner on `Print PLA or PETG for PLA or PETG cover`

Assembly

  • Print the cover and liner; let them cool off so that the legs on the liner can set
  • Attach the liner to the switch plate
  • Press the cover on firmly; it should be hold on via friction and suction. It may wobble slightly but requires force to remove

Alternatively, you can super glue the liner to the cover and attach them as a single piece. This can make it more difficult to extract the cover from the switch plate, so I don't do it myself.

Features

  • Blocks LEDs on the light switches
  • Friction-fit cover stays on unless you want to take it off
  • Easy-to-remove inner plate
  • Tasteful chamfering
