Description

Heat Insert Press – Compact Manual Press for Threaded Inserts

A compact, fully 3D‑printed heat insert press designed for consistent, repeatable installation of threaded inserts in your prints.
The height of the platform is adjusted very easily via a hand crank driven by a TR8 leadscrew, so you can position your workpiece precisely without effort.
A spring‑loaded lever with the soldering‑iron holder automatically returns to its upper position after pressing, giving you a quick, comfortable and repeatable workflow.
The press runs on a linear rail with bearings for smooth motion and includes a soldering‑iron holder mounted directly to the frame for a clean, space‑saving setup.

Features

  • Stable post‑and‑base design with TR8 spindle and spindle nut for precise height adjustment.Manual.pdf
  • Linear rail with carriage and end stops to keep everything aligned and prevent the carriage from running off the rail
  • Integrated soldering iron holder and lever mechanism for comfortable operation.
  • Uses standard 608ZZ and 693ZZ bearings, M3/M4 countersunk screws (DIN 7991) and threaded inserts, so everything is easy to source
  • Most printed parts are assembled with heat‑set inserts; no awkward nuts in slots.
