Bill of Materials
- Zip ties x 4:
Description

MODULA is more than just a lamp; it is a fully customizable and scalable lighting system. Thanks to its clever interlocking design, you can dictate the height and function of your project simply by choosing how many modules to print.
Key Features:
- Fully Modular Design: The stem consists of 10cm stackable elements. Whether you need a small bedside lamp or a 5-foot floor lamp, just keep adding modules.
- Smart "Hide-Away" Base: The base is split into two sections (top and bottom). This design allows you to:
- Easily house and hide all internal wiring.
- Secure everything neatly using the integrated slots for cable ties.
- Manage the rotation of the stem for perfect positioning.
- 3 Base Sizes:
- Small: Perfect for desks and compact spaces.
- Medium: Ideal for dining tables or sideboards.
- Large: Maximum stability for floor lamp configurations.
- Optimized Diffusion: Includes custom light diffusers and a top cap to seal the stem for a clean, professional finish.
Printing & Assembly Tips
- Diffuser Material: We strongly recommend using Translucent White or Transparent filament (PETG or PLA).
- Stem Material: We recommend using a dark or opaque color (e.g., Black, Charcoal Gray, or Deep Navy) for the stem components. This prevents light leakage, ensuring the light is emitted exclusively through the diffusers and doesn't bleed through the plastic walls of the stem.
- Pro Tip: For superior light diffusion, print the diffusers on a Textured PEI sheet. The texture on the first layer helps refract the light more naturally, eliminating “LED hotspots.”
- Wiring: Align the internal slots in the base to secure your cable with zip ties before snapping the two halves together.
Safety Note: We recommend using only low-heat LED strips to prevent any warping of the 3D-printed plastic.

Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to bring your MODULA lamp to life:
- Thread the LED Strip: Start by feeding your LED strip through the bottom of the base (f)(e), ensuring the connector remains accessible within the base housing.
- Build the Stem: Screw the upper base (e) and the stem sections (b) together one by one until you reach your desired height. The threaded design ensures a sturdy and seamless connection.
- Secure the LEDs: Adhere the LED strip inside the stem (b) using its adhesive backing. The stem features an integrated internal track designed to keep the strip perfectly aligned and secure.
- Install the Diffusers: Slide the diffusers (d)(c) over the stem, starting with the smallest one at the bottom (d).
Note on Orientation: Each diffuser has a specific top and bottom. When inserted correctly, the top part of the diffuser should protrude slightly from the stem module. If it sits flush or looks recessed, simply flip it over.

Diffuser mounted correctly
- Seal the Top: Place the top cap (a) on the final stem module to close the column and give it a finished look.
- Cable Management: Open the two-part base and use the integrated slots (f) to secure the wiring with zip ties. This provides strain relief and keeps the internals tidy.
- Power Up: Close the base, connect to your power source, and enjoy the custom atmosphere of your new MODULA lamp!
Tips for a Perfect Build
- Dry Fit: Before sticking the LED strip down permanently, do a "dry fit" of the stem to make sure you are happy with the height.
- Rotation: Remember that the two-piece base allows you to adjust the rotation of the stem—perfect for hiding the power cable exit point.
