The CA35-Night is a lightweight 5 mm box-style frame, specially designed for 3D printing and optimized for efficient night flying.

The frame consists of two main parts:

  • Main frame
  • Top plate

In-Flight Pictures

The two images show the live OSD during actual night flights. Even in very low-light conditions, the image remains clear, demonstrating the effectiveness of the night-optimized setup.

 

 

 

Building Instructions

For best results, I recommend printing the frame parts in PAHT-CF, which I have personally tested with excellent results. The frame should also work well with PA6-CF, PET-CF, or PPA-CF.
⚠️ High material stiffness is essential for proper performance.

All flexible components — camera mount, antenna mounts, RC receiver holder, and optional VTX holder — are designed to be printed in TPU 95HF.

Electronics Compatibility

  • Supports standard analog VTX transmitters
  • Designed for use with the Caddx Infra V2, which performs exceptionally well for night flights
  • Compatible with 20×20 mm and 25×25 mm mounting patterns for both VTX and Flight Controller
  • Also compatible with HDZero Freestyle V2, Nano V2, Micro V3, Nano V3, and others (VTX / Cameras)

  • Flight Controller: SpeedyBee F405 AIO 40A
  • Receiver: Happymodel EP1
  • Motors: Happymodel EX1404 3500 KV (efficient and smooth)
  • Propellers: HQProp T3.5×2×3

Weight & Performance

The CA35-Night is specifically designed to stay under 250 g with a 4S battery up to 750 mAh (in some setups, up to 800 mAh is possible).

With an efficient cruising setup, I achieved flight times of up to 9 minutes, making it ideal for long, smooth night flights.
