Description

🌿 Bambulab ReSpool Planter

Turn empty filament spools into modern plant décor ♻️

Why throw away empty filament spools when you can turn them into something beautiful?

The ReSpool Planter is a modern, architectural planter designed to reuse empty Bambu Lab cardboard spools as its core. You get a premium fluted look, and a smart second life for your spools, win, win.

This design wraps cleanly around the spool, transforming it into a sturdy, stylish planter that looks great on desks, shelves, and workspaces.

✨ Key Features

  • ♻️ Designed to recycle empty filament spools
  • 🧱 Modern fluted / ribbed aesthetic
  • 🌱 Perfect for indoor plants or decorative use
  • 🖨️ Optimized for clean, high-quality prints

⚠️ Important Print & Assembly Notes (Please Read)

  • Support removal: Be extra careful when removing supports — the vertical slats are thin by design to achieve a clean, modern look.
  • Tolerances: The fit around the cardboard spool is intentionally tight for a solid, professional finish.
  • Assembly order:

    1. The cardboard filament spool slips over the inner piece first.
    2. Next, slide the outer shell over the spool, fully encasing the planter.

  • Assembly care: Take your time when sliding the spool and outer shell together — slow and even pressure works best.
  • Alignment: The outer piece includes a notch that must line up with the Bambu Lab cutout on the spool. Align these before final assembly for a perfect fit.

🌍 Why You’ll Love It

This planter isn’t just another print — it’s a small step toward sustainable making. Designed by a maker, for makers, the ReSpool Planter proves that great design doesn’t have to create more waste.

Print one… then you’ll probably want a second when your next spool runs out 😉
