Description

Classroom Visual Cue Cards — Single & Paired Activity Set (Ring-Compatible, PECS-Aligned)

These 3D-printed visual cue cards are designed to support children who benefit from clear, concrete visual direction in the classroom — including students with language delays, autism, speech delays, or difficulty following verbal instructions alone. The cards are aligned with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) principles, providing simple, consistent, and easily recognizable visuals to support communication, comprehension, and independence.

Created for real classroom use by a teacher, these cards give educators a quick, physical way to communicate expectations, routines, and transitions — similar to how PECS visuals are used in many special education and speech therapy settings. Holding up a card helps students immediately understand what is being asked of them, reducing frustration, increasing independence, and improving classroom flow.

This set includes two versions of cards:

Single-activity cards:

  • Bathroom
  • Naptime
  • Take off backpack
  • Hang up backpack
  • Take off jacket
  • Hang up jacket
  • Open
  • Help
  • More
  • Finished
  • No hitting
  • No throwing
  • Sit on floor
  • Sit on chair
  • Yes
  • No

Paired (double) activity cards:

  • Bathroom & Naptime
  • Take off backpack & Hang up backpack
  • Take off jacket & Hang up jacket
  • Open & Help
  • More & Finished
  • No hitting & No throwing
  • Sit on floor & Sit on chair
  • Yes & No

Each card includes a hole so they can be assembled onto a ring for easy flipping, carrying, and quick access, making them practical for teachers, aides, and speech therapists moving around a classroom — just like many PECS communication books.

These cards work especially well in:

  • Special education classrooms
  • Early childhood education
  • Speech therapy settings
  • ABA or PECS-supported classrooms
  • Preschool and daycare environments

Because they are 3D printed, they are sturdy, washable, and more durable than paper visuals — ideal for students who are hands-on, sensory-seeking, or tough on materials. They are a great alternative or supplement to traditional laminated PECS cards.

Feel free to scale, remix, or adapt these to your classroom’s needs. If you print a set, I’d love to see your makes!
