Description
This lockout device allows a DIN circuit breaker to be locked in the open circuit position to secure an intervention on an electrical circuit
It is designed to prevent any accidental re-energization during a maintenance, repair, or diagnostic operation
Once installed, the device locks the circuit breaker in the open circuit position and can be secured with a padlock
It can also be used to keep a faulty circuit de-energized, preventing someone from accidentally re-engaging the circuit breaker
Intended Use
This lockout is intended for:
- securing an intervention on an electrical circuit
- preventing accidental re-energization of a circuit breaker
- signaling and keeping a faulty circuit out of service
- completing an electrical lockout procedure
The device screws around the circuit breaker, then locks with a padlock
Safety Warning
Caution: this device must never be used to lock a circuit breaker in the engaged position
It must under no circumstances be used to force the passage of electric current, bypass a safety feature, keep a circuit energized, or prevent a circuit breaker from tripping
Use it only for its intended purpose: to keep a circuit de-energized during an intervention or in case of a fault
Before any electrical work, apply appropriate safety rules: power disconnection, verification of absence of voltage, lockout, signaling, and intervention by a competent person

1 M4 bolt
1 screw diameter 4 mm, length 20 mm
1 nut with 7 mm across flats
1 padlock suitable for the intended passage diameter
