Cradlewise Smart Crib Bounce Stop Clips (Set of 4)

The Problem

The Cradlewise smart crib features an innovative bouncing mechanism that soothes babies back to sleep. However, as babies become toddlers (9+ months), many discover they can bounce the crib themselves by standing and jumping—sometimes in the middle of the night. Cradlewise offers software controls to adjust bounce sensitivity or disable automatic bouncing, but there's no built-in mechanical way to physically prevent a child from bouncing the crib on their own.

The Solution

These clips slide into the gap between the floating upper crib and the stationary base, then clip securely onto each of the four curved bentwood legs. Once installed, the crib cannot bounce—giving parents a simple, reversible way to disable bouncing when it's time to wean, during sleep training, or whenever you need the crib to stay still. These clips provide both a tight fitting shim that reduces the amount of movement and a bump stop that prevents the crib from bottoming out.

Print Settings

Two variants included:

• 0.4mm nozzle version – Standard layer heights (0.2mm recommended)
• 0.6mm nozzle version – Standard layer heights (0.3mm recommended)

Recommended settings:

• Material: PLA (tested), PETG or ABS also suitable
• Infill: 15%
• Walls: 2
• Supports: None required

Print 4 clips total (one for each leg).

Installation

1. With the crib empty, locate the gap between the floating crib portion and the base near each curved leg
2. Slide the clip into the gap from the outside. The design has been made to be a tight fitting shim on top. A small amount of force is needed to slide the top into the gap. Starting from one side may be easier. This slides into the gap in a manner similar to the cardboard “locks” that Cradlewise provided during shipping. 
3. Position the clip so it engages with the curved leg
4. Repeat for all four legs
5. Test by gently pressing down on the crib—it should no longer bounce

To restore bounce functionality, simply slide the clips back out.

Compatibility

Designed for the Cradlewise Smart Crib (all versions with the standard curved bentwood leg design). Works in both bassinet and crib mode configurations.
