🐉 Life Size Goku Power Pole (Nyoibō) - Dragon Ball ☁️

I want to present to you my new model: the legendary Power Pole (Nyoibō) of Goku. This is not just a simple prop, but a life-size replica designed to be the ultimate addition to your Dragon Ball cosplay. It is perfect for cosplay, display, and collecting.

✨ Features

  • Extendable: Classic collapsible style (similar to the popular "collapsing" swords found online) but extending from both sides, allowing the Power Pole to extend up to approximately 1.33m.
  • 1:1 Scale: I tried my best to replicate the dimensions of the real Power Pole.
  • Display Piece: Not just for wearing! Its iconic design makes it perfect as a decoration for your gaming room.
  • No AMS Needed: The model is divided into separate parts, so there is no need to use the AMS.
  • Sheath Included: Equipped with the classic sheath used by Goku to carry the Power Pole on his back (I also added a hemp rope for anime accuracy).

🔄 Versions

This model consists of 2 main parts: the Powerpole itself and the sheath.

Feel free to print Both, only the PowerPole to play with, or print just the sheath to insert a "homemade" stick if you prefer.

🧵 Recommended Materials

I recommend using PLA+ or PETG for the best aesthetic and structural results:

  • Red for the pole.
  • Brown/Bamboo Green for the sheath. I used brown (like in the first Dragon Ball series) because I preferred the look , but in the Dragon Ball Daima anime, the sheath is bamboo green.

⚙️ Print Mode

Please use the provided .3mf template. Select the "DESIGNER" print profile: it is already configured with higher infill in specific areas to ensure rigidity, supports where necessary, and hidden seams.

I also increased the printing plate temperature to 70°C to ensure the PLA adheres much more firmly to the build plate.

📐 Orientation and Support

  • Plate: The model is divided into 2 plates (3 if you consider the caps).
  • Supports: Cylindrical parts are designed to be printed vertically. I recommend using a Brim of at least 5-8mm to ensure that tall and thin pieces do not detach from the plate during printing.

NOTE: do not use inner brim on PART C (the one without any threads)

Note 2: You only need supports in the central part with the 2 male threads. Everything is already configured in my print profile.

📏 Dimensions

Power Pole:

  • Length (Collapsed): 56 cm
  • Total Length (Extended): ~ 1.33 m
  • Diameter: 40 mm

Sheath:

  • Total Length: 47 cm
  • Diameter: 48.4 mm

🔄 Assembly Instructions

Power Pole Assembly:

Once you finish printing, you will have 5 pieces:

  • A - 1x Central joint with 2 male threads.
  • B - 2x Main pieces with female threads.
  • C - 2x Power Pole extensions.

I also added a hemp rope like this one:

Procedure:

  1. Insert parts C inside parts B.
  2. Screw parts B (containing C) onto the central joint A.

Sheath Assembly:

  1. Join the 2 parts together.
  2. Use a little super glue to ensure they don't come apart.

Small Tip: Align the seams to create a continuous effect that isn't visually distracting.

⚠️ Disclaimer:

I designed the parts with a 0.1mm tolerance, which should work well for all BambuLab printers.

However, I highly recommend CALIBRATING YOUR PRINTER BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE PRINT.

If you have already printed the model and the threads do not fit inside each other, I recommend lightly sanding the male threads.

📂 Optional Accessories

I also added 2 caps that might be useful (don't worry, I respected the tolerances so the Power Pole fits into the sheath even with the caps on).

I can't wait to see your photos with the Power Pole and your cosplays! Please share your "makes" in the comments! 📸

If you have any advice on how to improve this Power Pole, let me know! I'm open to suggestions for a Version 2 :)

I hope you find this design enjoyable to print! Your feedback helps me improve this design even more. Feel free to share your thoughts below, enabling me to enhance it even further! 😊✨
