📝 Description

The legendary Italian hand gesture… but now it’s articulated 😄🤌

This model comes with 2 versions so you can choose your favorite style:

✅ Version 1: Fully 3D Printed (Print-In-Place)

A fully printable articulated hand that moves right out of the printer after you remove supports and “break it in”.

✅ Version 2: Spring Version (Smooth & Satisfying)

A clean no-support version that uses a small spring + a couple drops of glue for a satisfying bounce/movement.

Both versions make an awesome desk toy, a funny gift, and a perfect “why did I print this?” masterpiece.

📦 What’s Included

✅ 2 print profiles inside the project:

  • Print-In-Place articulated version (needs supports)
  • Spring version (no supports, needs spring + glue)

🛠 Hardware Needed (Spring Version Only)

Spring size that works best:

  • 0.5 × 6 × 20mm

You can also try:

  • 0.5 × 6 × 25mm

…but it may make the hand sit a bit taller.

(No screws / pins needed.)

🧩 Assembly (Spring Version)
Very simple:

  1. Insert the spring between the arm and hand
  2. Add a couple small drops of glue

    • one side on the hand
    • one side on the arm

  3. Hold for a few seconds and you’re done ✅

🖨 Print Notes

Print-In-Place Version (with supports)

✅ Supports are required

After printing:

  • Move the hand gently in all directions to loosen it up
  • Remove the support leftovers from the upper edge
  • It gets smoother after a little “break-in” movement

Spring Version

✅ No supports needed

Print → glue → spring → done.

📏 Scaling

  • ✅ Print-In-Place version: can be scaled up/down
  • ⚠️ Spring version: scaling is not recommended because the spring size won’t match
