Description

Tired of the "Wavy" Look and Wasted Drawer Space?

Standard Gridfinity is incredible, but those 4mm rounded corners leave dust-collecting "valleys" between bins, and rigid 42mm grid sizes often leave awkward, unusable space in each bin.

This generator solves both problems—and a lot more. By utilizing optional Square Outer Corners, 21mm grid, Customizable Edge Overhangs, and Flared Walls, you can generate bins that look and function like a single, seamless, custom-engineered drawer insert. Perfect for kitchen utensils, tools, and high-end workstation organization.

🌟 Why This Generator Is Different

  • Removeble label shelf: Print labels and change as needed.
  • The "Drawer Filler" (Custom Overhangs): Don't let your drawer dimensions dictate your storage. Extend one or more sides of the bin by exact millimeter increments without adding extra grid feet to fill edge gaps perfectly.
  • Gapless, Flush-Fit Integration: Toggle force_square_corners to eliminate standard Gridfinity valleys. When these bins touch, they form a solid surface with no gaps for screws or debris to fall into.
  • Premium Finger Cutouts: Toggle fc_top_rounded to turn sharp notches into smooth, bullnose radiused scoops. Enable fc_cut_through to pass the slot straight through internal dividers—ideal for long tools or utensil handles.
  • Flared & Angled Walls: Independently angle the front, back, or side walls from 0° to 45°. The script automatically adjusts and scales the internal cell math to match.
  • Mini-Gridfinity Ready: Choose between the standard 42mm pitch or the 21mm half-grid for ultimate sizing precision.
  • Automated, Support-Free Bed Splitting: Need a massive bin but limited by your print bed? While you could split models manually in your slicer, this script automates it beautifully. It cuts your model perfectly through the center of a row of feet for maximum bed adhesion, adding vertical Prismatic Dovetail joints. They slide together vertically, lock mechanically, and print with zero supports!

🎛️ Key Customizer Parameters

  • grid_pitch: 42 for Standard Gridfinity, or 21 for Mini-Grid precision.
  • force_square_corners: Check this box for the clean, zero-gap look.
  • overhang_right / overhang_back: Add extra millimeters to perfectly flush your bins against your drawer walls.
  • fc_top_rounded / fc_cut_through: Activates the premium, smooth finger scoops through walls and dividers.
  • enable_split / registration_type: Set to Dovetail to print massive bins in perfectly interlocking, support-free pieces.

💡 Pro-Tips for Printing

⚠️ Tolerance Warning: Because force_square_corners removes the safety gap of standard Gridfinity, ensure your flow rate and pressure advance are calibrated. Over-extrusion will make flush-fit bins bind together too tightly!

  • Fillets: The script automatically calculates safe internal floor fillets (safe_floor_r) so you always get a smooth bottom scoop, even with completely square outer corners.
  • Infill & Walls: 2–3 walls with 10–15% infill is perfectly sufficient. Standard configurations and Dovetail splits require no supports.

🔲 Complete Your Setup — Matching Baseplate Generator

Every bin this generator creates deserves a baseplate that fits just as precisely. Check out my Gridfinity Precision Skeleton Baseplate Generator — built as the perfect companion to this bin generator: link

  • Fits your exact drawer dimensions in units, cm, or inch
  • Fills edge gaps with correctly shaped 21×42 mm half-cell pockets
  • Drawer ledge notch for sliding under lips and rails
  • Grid-seam-aligned tiling for beds too small for the full plate
  • Pocket tolerance adjustment to match your exact printer

Same philosophy. Same precision. Same drawer.
