Placed between two books on a shelf, it creates the impression of a hidden magical room – complete with a bubbling cauldron, colorful potions, old spellbooks, and a magical window with a sparkling night sky

🐈 Charming Mini Scene

The small black cat next to the cauldron, scattered pumpkins, and the open spellbook on the desk tell a little story – as if the witch had just stepped out of the room for a moment

Inside the cauldron is a detailed octopus tentacle arm emerging from the potion, lending the scene a slightly quirky, humorous, yet magical character

🥄🔥 Interactive Cooking Function with Magnet

The cauldron can be actively 'brought to a boil'

For this, a cooking spoon with a built-in magnet is used:

• The cooking spoon can activate the cauldron
• At the same time, it can also ignite the fire under the cauldron

💡 Magnetic LED in the Cauldron (Bambu Lab)

A magnetic LED from Bambu Lab was installed in the cauldron
This provides the glowing potion inside the cauldron

🧩 Alternative without Magnet & without LED

There is also the option to assemble the cauldron:

• without magnets

• and without an LED

In this case, pins are inserted into the designated recesses instead, to securely fix the cauldron

📌 Fastening in the Base

The base also has recesses for magnets (size 6mm, thickness 3mm) to secure the cauldron

➡️ Without magnets, the pins are simply inserted into the recesses here as well

⚠️ Important Note when using the LED

I recommend also using the pins even when the magnetic LED is installed

The reason:

The magnets

• in the LED,
• in the cooking spoon
• and in the base (for cauldron fastening)

slightly influence each other

This can slightly weaken the function of the cooking spoon

👉 The function is still present –
however, it might react slightly less reliably without additional pins

With pins, the cauldron is fixed much more stably and operation is more pleasant

📖 Witch's Book 'of the Loving Dead' – Placement Note

The witch's book of the loving dead is designed and printed so that it can also be used lying freely in the space and looks harmonious from all sides
If you want to attach the book – as in my setup – to a shelf or a desk, the bookmark should be slightly adjusted or shortened beforehand so that it does not interfere when glued and sits flat

✨ Window / Night Sky

The window pane was printed from transparent PLA on a holographic star print plate
This creates the special, shimmering night sky effect with subtle star reflections, without any additional lighting

🐱 Note on Animals

The animal figures used (cat and mouse) were not designed by me, but merely scaled to fit the book nook
