Description
Hatching Chick
A freshly hatched chick, still with its eggshell on its head – simple, friendly, and perfect as a small spring or Easter decorative object.
The model is intentionally soft and round, fitting ideally on a table, shelf, or as a small gift
The chick consists of several individual parts that are printed in separate colors and then assembled. This creates a clean appearance without multi-color printing or AMS
Sizes:
• Extra Small: approx. 3 cm high (very delicate)
• Small: approx. 4.5 cm high
• Medium: approx. 6 cm high
Structure & Assembly
All parts should be test-fitted once before gluing to check the fit
The feet are inserted into the designated recesses at the bottom and then glued.
Since support structures may be present from printing, some post-processing might be necessary for the feet to sit cleanly and flush in the receptacle.
If the contact surfaces are clean, the feet fit flush and appear seamless
Beak and eyes are attached with a small amount of superglue.
It is sufficient to apply the glue sparingly, place the parts, briefly align them, and press them firmly
The eggshell is glued onto the head from above.
There is a small mark on both the body and the eggshell at the adhesive point.
These marks must align exactly – otherwise, the shell will not fit correctly on the head.
The mark is only for quick alignment, as the shell is designed to fit in only one position anyway
All parts are intentionally designed to fit cleanly and appear as one piece after assembly
Note
The chick is designed for printing with light filaments.
The yellow body is prepared by default with an increased wall thickness to prevent material bleed-through. Anyone who wishes can adjust this setting in the print profile at any time
The result is a small figure with clear forms, a clean color concept, and a high-quality overall impression – perfect for spring, Easter, or simply as a friendly decorative model
