Description
This MCDU cover for Winwing / WinCTL was developed because I was not satisfied with existing designs. Most previous models felt loose and wobbly and did not provide reliable protection against mechanical stress.
My design focuses primarily on protecting the MCDU from external mechanical loads such as accidental impacts, pressure or contact during handling and storage rather than just dust. To achieve this, the cover uses the rigid frame of the MCDU display itself as a structural element. It snaps securely and non destructively into the screen frame, which guarantees a firm fit without play.
Once installed, the cover sits tight, does not wobble and stays exactly where it should. It can be removed again without any damage to the device. The result is a stable, clean and functional solution that finally feels solid and trustworthy in daily use.
The cover is available in two variants. One version comes without any text for a clean and minimal look. The second version features the classic “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” lettering for a more aviation themed appearance.
