It is suitable for both beginners looking for a functional complete system and advanced users who want to expand or adapt the design
đ Description
This filament shelf was specially developed for limited space and offers a stable, simple, and modular solution for storing filament spools
The shelf can be used in two variants
- Standard version: Space for 4 filament spools
- Extended version: Space for 8 filament spools with extension rods
The system is deliberately kept simple
- The rods are mechanically fixed with M3 screws but do not bear any load
- The entire weight of the spools rests on the side holders
- No ball bearings, no inserts, no post-processing required
The project is structured to be beginner-friendly
- logically divided print plates
- ready-to-use print profile included
- sensible standard settings (brim, seam position, etc)
Advanced users can, of course, adjust or optimize all settings in the slicer

đ Note:
When using the extension, the rods on the holder print plates are not needed
Only the parts from the extension print plate are used

- 4Ă M3x15 countersunk screws
- no threaded inserts
- no tap required
đšïž Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PLA / PLA Matte / PETG
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Profile: 0.20 mm Balanced Strength
- Infill: 20% Gyroid
- brim: 5 mm outer (activated)
- Seam position: Rear
Orientation:
All rods are printed so that the screw holes lie on the print bed
â visible surfaces remain clean
â±ïž Total print time (all 3 print plates): approx. 24 hours
(depending on printer & material)
đ ïž Assembly Instructions (short & simple)
- Insert rods into the holders
- Screw in M3 screws from below (only fix, do not overtighten)
For extension:
- Insert connector
- Slide on extension rods
- Place filament spools â done đ
â ïž Notes
- The shelf is intended for wall mounting
- Maximum load: 8 filament spools (~8 kg)
- For larger spans or more weight, it is recommended to use multiple shelves

Recommended Screws
Wooden walls / Wood panels:
- 3.5 Ă 25 mm wood screws
Concrete / Stone walls:
- 3.5 Ă 35 mm screws
- suitable anchors (e.g. 6 mm)
đ The screw heads neatly disappear into the designated countersinks of the holders
