đŸ§± Modular Filament Spool Holder V2

– expandable, compact & beginner-friendly –

(the shelf can also be printed on smaller printers, you would just have to split the parts onto extra plates)

đŸ”č Short Description

Modular filament shelf for 4 or 8 spools, ideal for small workspaces

Expandable rod system, no bearings, no special parts – simply print & assemble

Beginner-friendly print profiles included

🎯 Project Goal (slightly adjusted)

This project was developed with a focus on wall mounting, space saving, and stability

It is suitable for both beginners looking for a functional complete system and advanced users who want to expand or adapt the design

📖 Description

This filament shelf was specially developed for limited space and offers a stable, simple, and modular solution for storing filament spools

The shelf can be used in two variants

  • Standard version: Space for 4 filament spools
  • Extended version: Space for 8 filament spools with extension rods

The system is deliberately kept simple

  • The rods are mechanically fixed with M3 screws but do not bear any load
  • The entire weight of the spools rests on the side holders
  • No ball bearings, no inserts, no post-processing required

The project is structured to be beginner-friendly

  • logically divided print plates
  • ready-to-use print profile included
  • sensible standard settings (brim, seam position, etc)

Advanced users can, of course, adjust or optimize all settings in the slicer
