INSLOGIC Refill Adapter for SUNLU Spools

This project was created to solve a compatibility issue with INSLOGIC Matte PLA 5 kg refill packs, which are slightly too wide for standard SUNLU and BambuLab spools.

Although the refill can be mounted on the spool, it does not engage the locking “click” mechanism, meaning the refill is not properly secured. During printing—especially when used in an AMS system—this can cause the filament roll to loosen or fall apart.

To prevent this, I designed and printed a mechanical tightening adapter using a screw-based clamping system, ensuring the refill stays firmly in place on a SUNLU spool.

The project consists of 3 parts:

1. INSLOGIC refill centering ring to SUNLU spool
   A centering ring that properly aligns the INSLOGIC refill on the SUNLU spool.
2. Nut for SUNLU spool tightening screw
   A matching nut designed specifically for the tightening system.
3. SUNLU spool tightening screw
   A tightening screw that securely clamps the refill, ensuring stability and preventing the spool from coming apart during printing, especially when used in an AMS system.
