Mechanical Turbocharger Model - LED & N20 Motor Ready

Elevate your desk setup with this highly detailed, 3D-printable turbocharger model! Designed for car enthusiasts and makers alike, this model isn't just a static display piece—it's engineered to be fully interactive.

        Hardware Needed (Optional): 

  1. LED Strip: Any 5V or 12V flexible strip (cut to length).
  2. Motor: N20 Dual Shaft Motor (for simultaneous turbine and compressor rotation).
  3. Power: Simple USB 5V connection or a small battery pack in the base.

    Print Settings Recommendations:

  4. Material: PLA Silk (Silver/Chrome) for the housing, Translucent PLA for the turbine (to let the light through).
  5. Variable Layer Height (Highly Recommended): For the main turbo housing, I strongly suggest using the Variable Layer Height option in your slicer (like Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer). This will significantly smooth out the curves on the top of the "volute" and reduce the "stepping" effect, while keeping the print time efficient.
  6. Layer Height: Base setting 0.16mm or 0.2mm (adjusted by the variable setting).
  7. Supports: Minimal supports required for the main outlet.
