For best results, print the mold using heat-resistant filament:
🔹 Material: PETG (minimum) / ABS / ASA / Nylon
🔹 Layer height: 0.12/0.20 mm
🔹 Infill: 25–50%
🔹 Nozzle: 0.4 mm
🔹 Print orientation: Flat on the build plate (as designed)
🔹 Supports: Not required
⚠️ PLA is not recommended, as it may deform when exposed to heat.
🔥 Heat Protection & Casting Tips
To protect the mold from hot plastisol or silicone:
🔹 Let the material cool slightly before pouring (do not pour when boiling hot)
🔹 Use a mold release spray or light silicone oil before casting
🔹 Preheat the mold gently (warm, not hot) to reduce thermal shock
🔹 Avoid open flame or direct contact with heating elements
🔹 Allow the mold to cool down naturally after use
✅ Proper material choice and temperature control will ensure long mold life and clean casts.
