The flat bottom is more stable for pens and other items, but there might be a shrinkage line on the outside (see image at the end)

The round bottom allows items to easily gather in the middle, but there is no shrinkage line on the outside

Updated on June 8, 2026: When some models are automatically sliced, the Z-seam on the right ear might be brought to the front, affecting aesthetics, so the Z-seam was manually drawn to the back of the ear to avoid imperfections

[Fifth grader - Xiaohan]: I am a fifth-grade student who loves handicrafts. I learned about 3D printing technology before, but couldn't try it because the equipment was expensive and difficult to use. Later, with my father's support, I got a Bambu Lab P1S printer. Its ease of operation and strong stability made me fall in love with the process of designing and printing myself

Encouraged by my father and IT teacher, I started trying to create my own 3D models. Coinciding with the "Zebra Stationery" competition on the MakerWorld platform, I often use Zebra stationery and found my desk stationery cluttered, so I decided to design a Mickey-shaped pen holder, which is both practical and cute

I first hand-drew the Mickey pen holder sketch and revised it repeatedly, then learned modeling, model splitting, and performed multiple print tests and optimizations. With Bambu Lab's rich PLA filament, I perfectly restored Mickey's cute appearance and completed this pen holder, hoping to showcase my efforts in the competition

[Mickey Mouse Pen Holder]: After the sketch was finalized, I started learning modeling, perfecting details little by little, turning the hand-drawn sketch into a 3D printable model. With the teacher's guidance, I also completed the model splitting, which facilitated subsequent printing. After that, I conducted multiple print tests, continuously iterating and optimizing, solving small problems that arose during the printing process. Special thanks to Bambu Lab's rich PLA filament, which allowed me to choose the color that best matched Mickey's image, perfectly recreating Mickey's cute appearance, and ultimately creating this practical and beautiful Mickey pen holder. I also hope to use it to showcase my efforts and achievements in this "Zebra Stationery" competition
