Description

We studied the fluid scales of octopuses and whale sharks, iterating through dozens of versions via 3D printing to trace underwater origins through a contemporary totemic form. This is not mere ornamentation, but the embodiment of a concept of “de-identification”: for Acéphale, obscuring facial features allows us to perceive the primordial state of life with greater purity.
