This heavy-duty 3D printed tough case is designed for real-world outdoor use.
It features a compressed TPU sealing gasket, reinforced steel-pin hinges and durable snap-fit latches for maximum reliability.
The design has been printed and tested multiple times and refined for strength, fit and long-term durability.

For maximum durability:
- Main Case (Base & Lid): ABS recommended for high impact resistance
- Gasket: TPU 85A
- Clips / Latches: PETG
- Optional: Carbon fiber reinforced filament works excellent for added stiffness
ABS is strongly recommended for outdoor and rugged use due to its superior impact strength.

- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Infill: 20ā30% recommended
- Perimeters: 2-3 walls
- No supports required
Print orientation is optimized for strength and dimensional accuracy.
š© Assembly Instructions
Hinge System
The hinges are reinforced using:
- 2.4 mm stainless steel welding wire
Cut the wire to the required length and press-fit into the hinge channels.
ā Important:
The hinge holes in the lid must be drilled to 2.5 mm to allow smooth rotation.
Do not drill the base hinge holes ā they are designed for a tight press fit.
This ensures:
- Secure pin retention
- Smooth lid movement
- Long-term mechanical durability
Gasket Installation
The TPU 85A gasket is printed separately and inserted into the dedicated groove. It may be glued in place with super glue.
The lid compresses the gasket when closed, creating a reliable waterproof seal.
The compression system ensures proper sealing without excessive latch force.
