JP-233 Cluster bombs dispenser – Scale 1:48
This model represents the JP233 Runway Denial System in 1:48 scale. It was developed as a display and collector's model and is specially designed for use with COBI aircraft models of the same scale.
The model has been specially adapted to the proportions and construction of COBI aircraft, allowing it to integrate optimally into corresponding models. The focus is on a scale-accurate exterior shape and realistic proportions, while the geometry has also been optimized for reliable printing on common FDM 3D printers. This creates a good compromise between appearance, stability, and printability.
Open and Closed Version
The model includes both an open version and a closed version. This allows the JP233 to be displayed either in use or in a transport-ready state. This enables flexible presentation options, for example, mounted under an aircraft or as a separate display element.
Optimized for COBI Compatibility
During development, particular attention was paid to ensure that the model harmonizes well with COBI aircraft. It is ideal as an addition to existing collections, dioramas, or display presentations and visually matches the style of modern COBI jets.
Background: The Real JP233
The JP233 was an air-launched runway denial system carried under strike aircraft. It has a long, distinctive shape with clearly articulated segments and a functional design. These characteristic external features have been accurately reproduced in this model to scale.
Model Development
This model was designed at the request of user_4048843140 and subsequently fully optimized for 3D printing. Particular emphasis was placed on correct proportions, good printability, and suitable compatibility with 1:48 scale aircraft models.
