Description

NutRotor – Twist-to-Dispense Nut Feeder is a compact, 3D-printable dispenser designed for clean, controlled serving. Fill the cylindrical container with walnuts (or similar nuts), then simply twist the knob to release a portion through the bottom outlet.

Inside the body, a smooth rotating 8-wing rotor flap meters the contents and prevents uncontrolled spilling. Each twist drops a small batch, making it perfect for snacks, baking prep, or keeping nuts fresh and accessible on your desk or kitchen counter.

Tested with walnuts for reliable dispensing and smooth rotation. Walnut size note: If you use very large walnut halves, break them into smaller pieces first to avoid jams.

⚠️Cornflakes / cereal note:
If you use cornflakes or other large cereal pieces, do not use the inner insert, as it can reduce the opening too much and cause bridging or jams.

⚠️ Important print note:
The rotor should be printed in PETG, because it is more flexible than PLA. The wings need a bit of flex to work properly without jamming.
Even better would be food-safe TPU, which gives the best bending behavior for the rotor.
