Mini Ratchet Clip
Print Profile(1)

Description
This model was developed to add a robust stubby ratchet screwdriver to my current edc. Since all my current EDC has a plant clip I decided to add one to this design.
To assemble this ratchet screwdriver you need to first buy and dismantle this cheap ractchet from amazon. https://a.co/d/09Sohj62
I used a dremel (and metal cutting tool) to cut one of the pins head off, and then some pliers to bend the metal out of the way to release the mechanism.
The third picture shows how to assemble the mechanisi. This is a prototype though but the mechanisim is the same.
You will also need two M4 x 12 mm flat head philips screws and two M4 Nuts from this set on amazon. https://a.co/d/0haVb0fO
Optiionally you could get a knife pocket clip and secure it using two M2.5 T5 flathead screws. https://a.co/d/0968ohgs

The hardest part is to take apart the ratchet. The assembly is as follows :
- Insert the top M4 pivot screw and lay it flat on a flat surface.
- Insert the spring and ball bearing into the spring slot like shown in the picture.
- Insert the ratchet head with the magnet facing the flat surface and the hex facing up towards you.
- Insert the top cover and bottom retaining M4 screw until it lays flat with the ratchet and into the cover slot.
- Secure the top cover by placing the nuts over the screws and securing them.
- Optionally attach the mini banter pocket clip.
