This is a 3D-printed chocolate sphere holder designed to securely hold a wrapped spherical chocolate on a wooden stick.

  • Secure friction-fit arms for stable holding
  • Compatible with standard wooden skewers
  • Clean, minimal design – perfect for gifting and displays
  • Easy and fast to print

šŸ› ļø Adding a Skewer Hole to the Model (no hole print profile

Follow these steps to add a correctly sized skewer hole to the model.
Ā

1ļøāƒ£ Measure the Skewer Diameter

Use the Skewer Measuring Device to find the correct diameter for your skewer:
šŸ‘‰ https://makerworld.com/pl/models/2429707-skewer-measuring-device#profileId-2665214

2ļøāƒ£ Open and Prepare the Model

  • Open the model in Bambu Studio
  • Center the object on the build plate
  • Right-click the object → Fix Model
āš ļø This step is important — the Mesh Boolean operation may fail if the model is not fixed.

3ļøāƒ£ Add the Hole Geometry

  • Select the model
  • Click Add Part → Cylinder
  • Center the cylinder
  • Set the cylinder dimensions:
    • X & Y: skewer diameter you measured
    • Z (height): 12 mm (hole length)

4ļøāƒ£ Position the Cylinder

  • Set the cylinder X (object coordinate) to 3 mm
  • Set the cylinder Z (world coordinate) to 6 mm
    (half of the hole length)

šŸ“Œ Visually confirm that the cylinder and the model are correctly aligned before continuing.

5ļøāƒ£ Subtract the Hole

  • Select both the model and the cylinder
  • Use Mesh Boolean → Subtract

You should now have one object with the correctly sized skewer hole.

6ļøāƒ£ Final Print Settings

  • Select the finished model
  • Click Variable Layer Height
  • Choose Adaptive (default settings work well)

7ļøāƒ£ Slice and Print šŸš€

That’s it — slice the model and start printing!

šŸ–Øļø Print Recommendations

  • Material: PLA
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 15–20%
  • Supports: Not required
  • Orientation: As provided

šŸ”„ Important Usage Instructions

Just push the chocolate from the top into the holder. The bottom wrapper will allow it to slide in and then lock in place.

āš ļø Do NOT pry the arms open

The chocolate should fit in easily, but in case it does not:

  • Do NOT force the arms apart
  • The arms are rigid by design and will snap if forced
  • Instead, gently apply heat:
    • Use a heat gun, hot air station, or hair dryer
    • Warm the arms slightly until they become flexible
    • Insert the chocolate and allow the holder to cool

PLA softens with heat — this allows for safe adjustment.

šŸ“Œ Compatibility Note
