Description

Introducing the upgraded Version 2 (v2) of our Swap Mode System, specifically engineered for the Bambu Lab A1. This version pushes the boundaries of 3D printing automation, offering a new level of reliability and efficiency.

⚠️ WARNING: When using this add-on, your printed model must have a minimum height of 10 mm. If the model is shorter, there is a risk of collision with the build plate holder at the end of the print. ⚠️


Key Innovations in Version 2

This generation has undergone significant optimization based on user feedback and rigorous testing:

  • Modified Magazine: The magazine shape has been completely redesigned for smoother operation and features enhanced structural reinforcement. It now includes a higher perimeter rim that securely holds and stabilizes up to 5 spare build plates.
  • Revolutionary Plate Holder: A brand-new holder design now allows for dual-sided application. The holder is engineered to fix and manage the plate from both the top and bottom, ensuring maximum stability throughout the mechanism's movement.
  • Original Design: This entire model is an authentic, proprietary design under the P3D Design brand. The brand logo is integrated directly into the model's body as a guarantee of quality and original engineering.

Innovative Assembly System

The construction has been designed for the easiest possible installation with minimal hardware:

  • Snap-fit Mechanism: Connection to the printer body is handled via precision-molded parts that simply snap into existing holes on the printer.
  • Screw-free Magazine: The entire rear magazine is assembled into pre-designed slots and secured with glue. This completely eliminates the need for complex assembly using numerous screws and nuts.
  • Bed Fixation: The only components requiring screw fasteners are those directly attached to the printer's heatbed, ensuring 100% stability during high-speed movements.

Material and Printing

For your convenience, fine-tuned print profiles are provided. You do not need to adjust any print settings—everything is pre-configured.

  • Default Settings: Profiles are set for PLA.
  • Recommendation: For better durability and thermal stability (especially for long-term use), we strongly recommend using PETG, ASA, or ABS.

Assembly and Calibration

Thanks to the precise fit of the parts, assembly is straightforward. Users can find detailed assembly instructions, including software calibration, in the provided Assembly Guide. Please follow the documentation exactly to ensure the proper function of the automatic changer.
