Flexi Crystal Dragon Remix with Magnet Mounts

This is my enhanced remix of the articulated Crystal Dragon originally created by Chrobakx and published on MakerWorld

In this version, I expanded the original articulated design by adding three integrated magnet holes (8.2 x 3 mm), allowing you to mount or hang the dragon in creative ways. The magnets enable attachment to metal surfaces, wall display setups, or even unique floating-style presentations. The slots are designed for a tight press-fit, but depending on your printer tolerances, you may want to secure the magnets with a small drop of glue for a permanent hold.

For best printing results, make sure to print outer walls slowly, keep part cooling enabled, and ensure your build plate is clean before starting the print. After printing, it is highly recommended to let the bed cool down completely before removing the model. Carefully detach the dragon segment by segment to avoid putting stress on the articulated joints.

 Do not scale the model down, as smaller versions may become fragile—especially around the joints and the magnet areas.

This remix preserves the elegant articulated crystal structure of the original design while significantly expanding its display possibilities. The added magnetic functionality makes the dragon more versatile, more decorative, and perfect for creative presentation ideas.
