Description
Transform your home draft system with this set of three premium tap handles. Designed with a timeless, "Old World" aesthetic, these handles feature elegant floral scrollwork and stylized typography for IPA, Lager, and Stout.
To bridge the gap between 3D printing and professional bar hardware, I have engineered two distinct mounting systems and utilized advanced slicing techniques to ensure these feel as good as they look.
🛠️ Two Mounting Variants Included
I have organized the .3mf file into separate plates so you can choose the mounting style that fits your hardware:
- Plate 1: Integrated Threads – Features modeled 3/8"-16 UNC threads, compatible with most standard beer faucets. Just print and screw on.
- Plate 2: Pro-Reinforced – Designed for a heavy-duty M10 threaded insert (Dimensions: 21mm length, 1
- 2.5mm OD). This variant includes a 17mm x 1.5mm counterbore for a flush, professional fit.
✨ Premium "Texture-Tuned" Features
These handles are designed to bypass the "plastic" feel of 3D prints:
- Fuzzy Skin Grip: The main body uses a customized "Fuzzy Skin" setting to provide a professional, non-slip matte texture that hides layer lines.
- Ironed Typography: The top layers of the "IPA," "Lager," and "STOUT" labels are ironed, creating a silky, high-contrast finish against the floral ornaments.
- Efficient Multi-Color: Instead of using standard bucket fills, I used custom modifiers for the color changes. This optimizes the print path, significantly reducing filament waste and print time compared to standard AMS settings.
📋 Optimized Print Settings
- Printer: Tested on Bambu Lab A1 / P1 / X1 series.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
- Walls/Shells: 6 Walls (Essential for thread strength and a solid "heft" in the hand).
- Top/Bottom Layers: 6.
- Infill: 35% Gyroid (Provides excellent structural support for the internal threaded rod).
- Material: PLA (Great for detail; can be finished with a clear car-spray coat for a waterproof, high-gloss "bar-top" finish).
💡 Assembly & Finishing Tips
- For the Pro-Version: Heat press-fit your M10 insert into the base. For maximum longevity (optional), a drop of two-part epoxy on the outer diameter of the insert will lock it in forever.
- Waterproofing: While PLA is durable, a quick coat of clear acrylic or car-grade spray is recommended if the handles will be in a high-moisture environment or frequently wiped down.
