2 in 1 Magnetic Filament Label / Sample

Description
This 2 in 1 magnetic filament tag system allows you to track your filaments between your AMS, Dryboxes or Filament Dryer
I was tired of guessing which kind of filaments were in my boxes or AMS. I designed this system to use the text labels for technical filament (That are mostly black) and use the blank label for PLA as sample for the texture and color.
The embedded magnet design is strong and requires no glue for the magnets and is very satisfying to use !
- Use Strong 10x2mm neodyme magnets. Make sure that there is always a pause-print command at layer 18.
- Add the magnet after the printer pauses, then hit “continue print”
- Be careful of the magnet orientation ! I recommend to print 1 label and 1 base first, then use them as reference to keep the polarity consistent il all your label ecosystem.
- Use double sided tape or glue to add the base part to the AMS or Dryboxes.
- Want a custom label ? Copy a text label and edit the modifier shape using the text tool to suit your needs !
- Print the 3x2 base to stores the tags when waiting to refill your filament stock !
I may make other magnet size on request but the 10x2mm is the good compromise for strength and compactness.
