Description

This parametric strap slider allows you to easily adjust the length of textile straps (webbing) in a simple, lightweight, and durable way.

The design is inspired by the classic H-shaped buckle, commonly used on backpacks, shoulder straps, bags, sports gear, and fastening systems.

The published model is preset for 15 mm straps, ready to print and use.
It pairs perfectly with the quick release buckle project 👉 (https://makerworld.com/it/models/2334513-15-mm-quick-release-buckle-for-straps#profileId-2551216), creating a complete adjustable + quick-release system for 15 mm straps.

Customizable Parameters

The model is fully customizable. You can adjust:

  • Internal strap width (webbingWidth)
  • Gap between the edge and central bar (webbingGap)
  • Outer edge thickness (edgeThickness)
  • Central bar thickness and height (centerBarThickness and centerBarHeight)
  • Overall body height (height)
  • Outer and inner rounding (outerRounding and innerRounding)
  • Bottom chamfer for printing (bottomChamfer)
  • Curvature of the central bar (centerCurve)

These parameters allow the buckle to fit a variety of strap widths and materials, including nylon, polyester, technical webbing, and elastic bands.
