Customisable Wall-Mounted Shelf Generator

Design your own perfectly sized display shelf with this clean, fully parametric OpenSCAD customiser.
Ideal for collectibles, small plants, routers, smart speakers, tools, workshop storage, or minimalist décor.

This model generates a strong wall-mounted shelf with integrated angled support brackets, adjustable screw holes, optional countersinks, a driver access tunnel, and a rear cable notch — all configurable from the Customizer panel.

🔧 Main Features

🪵 Fully Parametric Shelf

Adjust the core dimensions to suit your space:

  • Shelf length
  • Shelf depth

Easily scale from compact display ledges to larger utility shelves.

🏗 Integrated Structural Brackets

Strong angled brackets are built directly into the model.

Customise:

  • Strut (beam) diameter
  • Bracket projection (distance from wall)
  • Bracket height
  • Bracket width
  • Single or double bracket configuration

Designed for strength while remaining clean and minimal.

📐 Flexible Bracket Placement

Choose how brackets are positioned:

  • Single bracket mode – automatically centered or manually positioned
  • Double bracket mode – evenly spaced or fully manual placement

Perfect for matching stud spacing or aesthetic alignment.

🧷 Adjustable Wall Screw Holes

Full control over mounting configuration:

  • Enable/disable wall holes
  • 1 or 2 hole configuration
  • Adjustable top hole offset
  • Adjustable spacing between holes
  • Select common screw sizes (#2–#10)
  • Or manually override hole diameter

Works for drywall plugs, wood screws, or custom hardware.

🔩 Optional Countersink

Add a tapered countersink on the non-wall face for flush screw heads.

Adjust:

  • Countersink diameter
  • Countersink depth

Designed to remain consistent across different bracket thicknesses.

🔧 Driver Access Tunnel

Optional large clearance tunnel through the angled bracket.

This allows a screwdriver bit to pass cleanly through when mounting.

Adjust:

  • Tunnel diameter
  • Side offset

Greatly improves real-world installability.

🔌 Rear Cable Notch

Optional half-circle cable clearance cut-out on the back edge of the shelf.

  • Adjustable diameter
  • Auto-centered by default
  • Manual positioning available

Perfect for router cables, speaker wires, or charging leads.

🖨 Print-Friendly Design

  • Prints flat on the build plate
  • No supports required
  • Clean internal geometry
  • Strong capsule-style bracket beams
  • Ideal for PLA, PETG, or stronger materials

Designed specifically for reliable FDM printing.

🖨 Suggested Print Settings

  • Material: PLA / PETG / ASA (depending on load and environment)
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Walls: 3–4 perimeters recommended
  • Infill: 20–40% (Gyroid or Cubic recommended)
  • Supports: Typically not required (verify bracket angle in slicer)
  • Orientation: Print flat with shelf surface facing upward
  • Arachne wall generator recommended

  1. Set your shelf dimensions
  2. Adjust bracket size and count
  3. Choose placement mode (evenly or manual)
  4. Configure wall screw holes and countersink
  5. Enable driver tunnel if needed
  6. Add cable notch if required
  7. Generate → Download → Print
