🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators)
This is a fully parametric OpenSCAD engineering and calibration utility, not a simple static primitive shape. The algorithm utilizes dynamic for loops and mathematical array processing (e.g., plate_w = (number_of_tests + 1) * spacing) to procedurally generate a custom-sized calibration board. It executes complex boolean subtractions (difference()) with iterative gap offsets (tol = start_tolerance + (i * tolerance_step)) and utilizes conditional string concatenation (str()) to automatically engrave precise tolerance labels for each test node. This ensures dimensional validation accurate to the hundredth of a millimeter, making it an advanced diagnostic tool.
🛠️ What can you customize?
- Tolerance Range: Set your starting point (e.g., 0.05mm) and the step size for each hole.
- Number of tests: Generate a quick 3-hole test or a massive 10-hole calibration board.
- Base Size: Change the size of the pegs. Standard is 10mm, but you can scale it up for large mechanical parts.

- Material: Works for any filament (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU).
- Layer Height: 0.20mm is perfect for a standard calibration.
- Walls: 2 or 3 walls to ensure dimensional accuracy.
