Description

I hated riding my Hiboy S2 electric scooter with grocery bags on the handlebars, so I designed this bracket system with two matching carabiner bag hooks to securely carry my grocery bags.

Snap-Shut Carabiner:

Uses natural compliance to “lock” the bag in place so it won't fly off when you hit bumps.

Dual Hook System:

Hang bags from either hook or hang one bag off of both hooks to keep it in front of the scooter.

OEM Fit:
Designed specifically to utilize the four existing screws on the scooter stem for a clean integrated look.

Heavy Duty:

Tested to hold 25 pounds which is probably more than a plastic bag could handle in the first place. Your experience may vary based on your material selection and usage patterns. I'm not responsible for any scooter crashes!

Additional Hardware Needed:

I used twelve #10 (½ inch) washers and then four #10 (24TPI, 5/8 inch) screws with matching nuts.

Material Selection:

I printed mine in PLA and it works great for now, but I would recommend using materials that fare better outdoors if you plan on spending a significant amount of time riding.

Watch the Design Process:

I documented the engineering of this project on my Youtube channel. Check out the video here to see it in action (as well as a 25 lb weight test):
