Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov — Lenin — Bust

🇬🇧 Description

This bust depicts Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, known as Lenin, in a faithful sculptural interpretation limited to the head and upper torso, resting on a discreet base. The volumes are intentionally emphasized: the distinctive bald head, short pointed beard, and determined gaze strongly define the face. Clean and marked lines evoke the aesthetic of official early-20th-century statuary.

The model is inspired by the most famous photograph of the revolutionary leader, widely used in Soviet posters, busts, and monuments. The goal is to capture the instantly recognizable iconography that shaped his public image across the world.

Lenin was the principal architect of the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the founder of the Soviet state. A Marxist theorist and leader of the Bolshevik party, he led the fall of the imperial regime and the civil war that followed. His actions profoundly transformed Russia and had a lasting influence on global political history throughout the 20th century. After his death in 1924, his image became a major ideological symbol reproduced in countless sculptures and monuments.

This bust therefore aims to capture not only a historical face, but also a political figure that became a true visual icon.
