If you print this and love it, please consider giving it a Boost! 🚀 Your support encourages me to create more high-quality, free designs for the community.

Organize your life, one hex at a time. Whether you need a sleek EDC drop-zone, a premium-looking dice tray for game night, or a secure spot to hold screws and Allen keys in the workshop, this hexagonal tray is designed to handle it all. Precisely modelled in AutoCAD, it features clean geometric lines that look fantastic on any desk or workbench.

The inside base features a stunning Hilbert curve pattern, giving the tray a textured, premium aesthetic right off the build plate. It prints beautifully on modern, high-speed machines like the Bambu Lab P2S, where you can really let those bottom-layer patterns shine.

Key Features:

  • Stackable Design: Maximize your vertical storage! These trays are designed to securely nest and stack on top of one another, keeping your desk or drawers perfectly organized.
  • Perfectly Sized (and Scalable): The default width is a compact 60mm, making it great for small parts, tokens, or hardware. Need something bigger for a phone, wallet, or rolling dice? Simply scale it up uniformly in your slicer to fit your exact needs!
  • Premium Hilbert Texture: The built-in Hilbert curve bottom pattern adds a fantastic visual and tactile grip to the inside of the tray.
  • Support-Free Printing: Designed to print quickly and cleanly without any need for supports or rafts.

Future Roadmap & Hidden Features: I want this to grow into a fully customizable storage system! If this model gets enough downloads and love from the community, I will be rolling out updates:

  • Wall Mounting: You might notice holes already integrated into the back of the design. These are prepped for a future wall-mount upgrade, allowing you to turn these trays into a modular honeycomb wall display!
  • Magnetic Snap-Together System: I am currently working on adding side-magnet holes so you can seamlessly snap multiple trays together to build your own custom desktop grids.

Recommended Print Settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm works perfectly.
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid (or your preferred infill).
  • Bottom Surface Pattern: Ensure your slicer is set to highlight the Hilbert pattern (or let the modeled geometry do the work!).
  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA will all work beautifully.

If you download and print this, please share your makes! Let me know in the comments what you are using your hex trays for, and don't forget to hit the like button if you want to see the wall-mount and magnetic upgrades released!
