82mm 6-lug Conical Sprout Lid - No Supports
Print Profile(1)

Description
A sprouting lid system for European twist-off jars (82 mm, 6-lug), designed for superior airflow, quick rinsing and faster drainage. No AMS needed
This model was built around a proven thread insert for EU jars:
“Jar Thread Insert – 82 mm Lid, 6-Lug Twist-Off” (uploaded as a Remix).
I used that insert for reliable compatibility, then designed the full sprouting + drainage system on top of it.
Why the conical sieve matters
Most sprouting lids use a flat screen. This one uses a perforated conical inner sieve, which:
- improves air circulation / oxygen access
- drains water faster and more completely, reducing pooling compared to flat mesh designs
What’s included
- Lid with conical inner sieve
- Stand/drip tray (keeps the jar elevated while excess water drains)
How to use
- Add seeds and water, soak if needed (depends on seed type).
- Rinse & drain 2× daily: fill, swirl, then invert to drain.
- Place the jar inverted on the stand/drip tray and let it breathe.
Works great for
Alfalfa, broccoli, radish, clover, lentil, mung beans, fenugreek, mustard (and similar small/medium sprouting seeds).
Printing notes (quick)
- Recommended material: PETG (water resistant), PLA also works.
- Print orientation: as provided; no supports in most cases.
- Standard settings are fine (0.2 mm layer, 2–3 walls).
Food note: Printed parts aren’t certified food-contact; use at your own discretion and wash regularly.
