Description

The original front cover of the Corsair Carbide 175R has very restricted airflow, causing high component temperatures.

That's why I decided to design and print this custom cover!

Features:

  • Perfect fit
  • Improved airflow
  • Lower temperatures
  • Mesh dust filter
  • Fairly easy print (see below)

Printing instructions cover:

  • Print profile contains 3 build plates:
    • Top part
    • Bottom part
    • 2 triangular connectors
  • Use PETG or ABS for cover parts
    • PLA not recommended
  • Ensure clean bed, high enough bed temperature and avoid drafts
    • Parts are large and could warp
    • I had a tiny bit of warping at the corners with a textured PEI plate @ 75C
  • Print profile is optimised and tested

Printing instructions dust filter:

  • Print profile contains 2 build plates:
    • Top filter
    • Bottom filter
  • I used PLA, other materials should work fine as well
  • Print profile is optimised and tested

Assembly:

  • Insert connectors in the triangular holes on either half of the cover
  • Attach the other half, some force might be required
  • Attach the dust filters using the round holes
    • There is a slight difference between both filters
