Description

This is a parametric GridFinity heat-set inserts tip storage bin, while specifically tailored to hold CNC Kitchen heat-set inserts (including the M2.5 tip most others do not include) much of the design is parametrized so it should be fairly easy to adjust it to any other brand's set. It is designed to keep all the bit's tops at the same level automatically regardless of how tall they are.

includes both a ready to print 3mf and stl.

What can be adjusted:

The included Fusion 360 file is fully parametric, allowing you to modify the following to suit your specific needs:

  • Bin Height (bin_height_in_u): Change the overall height of the bin in standard Gridfinity "U" units (e.g., 3U, 4U, 6U).
  • Hole Diameters (m#_diameter): Fine-tune the fit for each insert size (M2, M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8) based on your printer's tolerances.
  • Insert Depth (m#_height): Adjust the depth of each pocket to match standard or "short" versions of the inserts.
  • Bit Top Height (bit_tip_height_above): Adjust how high the inserts or tools sit above the bin surface.
