Description

Air 65 Compatible Ducted Frame printed in TPU for AMS

 

This frame is designed from scratch and experimental.

 

Frame weight 4.94g (weighed) 5.02g (in slicer estimate)

 

We have flown this frame using the stock motors and kit from an Air65 Brushless Whoop and found flight characteristics to be similar. There is no jello or noticeable change in vibration. The increased weight has a similar feeling to using a larger battery, and seems to make the whoop less susceptible to being blown around by light wind.

 

TPU for AMS is used for the frame and is slightly more flexible than the stock frame by feel. Test flights in progress, as more crashes occur we will have more info on durability.

 

PLA is used for supports as it does not bond to the TPU for AMS and removes cleanly.

 

Modification and improvement is encouraged, .f3d provided for easier editing in Fusion and can be found in a zip in additional files.
