Chihiro and the Pigs

Chihiro stood between two pigs, unshed tears lingering in her eyes. She had always thought her parents were her eternal sanctuary, until they became lost in a feast of desires, transformed into something she could barely recognize. Perhaps the cruelest thing in this world isn't being in an unfamiliar Spirit World, but seeing them right before you and no longer being able to call out 'Mom and Dad'. From this moment, Chihiro's journey became heavy-laden. Her task was not just to reclaim her name, but also to rescue her fallen parents from the chopping block of fate within this bizarre illusion. Only when we grow up do we understand Chihiro's despair, a despair we all must experience: parents grow old, make mistakes, lose their way in desire, becoming vulnerable, yet always remembering to protect the little girl beside them.
