This holder for a 54mm portafilter (suitable for Sage Barista models) makes tamping easier and also serves as practical storage for the portafilter.

Many existing holders are not optimally designed, as the portafilter must be held during tamping, otherwise the holder tips over. Furthermore, they do not offer a truly stable and efficient storage surface.

I noticed that the portafilter often remains slightly wet and drips after cleaning when put away. With my holder, a sponge can be placed in the lower area, which collects both water and falling coffee powder.
Due to the angled position in which the portafilter is inserted, liquid drains specifically to the back and can flow into the sponge through a small opening at the rear.

On the underside, there are four holes for rubber feet (6 × 2 mm), which provide additional grip on the work surface.

The model was printed in transparent PLA for a high-quality look, with 5% Gyroid infill. Material consumption is approximately 73 g filament.

If you like the model, I'd appreciate a boost 🙂

UPDATE April 26:

In version 2.0 of the holder, there is space for a 2mm wide sieve, as shown in the title image. This helps with storage.
