Description

It's a cute little Easter egg fidget clicker.

It needs a Cherry MX style switch inside.

Print a base, about 20 minutes.

Print a top, there are two plates to choose from, they are the same model, just flipped 180. Either one is like 20 minutes.

  • - The right side up one will give you a cleaner exterior, but you will have to remove more supports inside it and maybe have to clean it inside with some tweezers, but it still assembles great.
  • - The upside down one only has a little support and the inside comes out perfect but the exterior is a bit too rough for my tastes.

Print the chicken. About 40 minutes, 17 color swaps so not terrible, even for my frugal self.

The chicken will either press fit into the top easily or it might need a dot of glue.

  • - I think choosing the one with the cleaner exterior and the rougher interior actually helps here because that roughness made mine press fit perfectly                 without needing glue. The other one was ‘too clean’ and wouldn't hold it.

The switch will press fit into the base without glue.

Make sure you have the + peg aligned with the stem in the top and press until the two halves touch. It will hold firmly.

Thank you so much for your support. It helps me a lot.

Side note, my whole collection of uploads is just an ongoing chronicle of me struggling to learn OnShape and Blender while I make silly and irrelevant things. Even the extremely simple things are because I was focusing on one tool or button to try to figure out how it functions. Apparently I find this a good way to decompress after work. If people actually enjoy the things I make, that is an amazingly cool bonus.

This project was something I thought was going to be mostly simple, but turned into a heck of a struggle. I hit a wall and almost gave up at like three different times, but eventually I got it to work and then I went through several more iterations, fine tuning it to get it to be something I liked.

I hope you like it too.
