Description

V40 Spoiler Wing – Because Every Project Needs More Carbon Fibre 😅

Designed this spoiler for the V40 as a fun little project that turned into something pretty cool. The model is split into 6 pieces so it fits nicely on Bambu printers with a 256 × 256mm bed.

Each section has built-in dowels so everything lines up properly. Print the parts, line them up, glue them together, job done. Even I managed it without gluing my fingers together… mostly.

⚠️ Printing Tip:
Don’t print this in something that melts the second the sun comes out. A spoiler sits in direct sunlight, so use a high-temp filament like ASA, ABS, or something similar.

For my build I went a bit extra and skinned it in carbon fibre and resin to make it stronger and handle higher speeds.

Now… full honesty… my carbon skinning skills are not exactly professional. I ended up adding way more resin than planned, then it turned into the classic cycle of sanding, filling, primer, more filling, more sanding, more primer, then paint… and somehow it still looks a bit awful 🤣

So if you actually know what you’re doing with carbon fibre, you’ll probably get a result about 10x better than mine.

As for mounting, I didn’t really want to start drilling holes in the car and regretting it later, so I stuck mine on with Tiger Seal — also known as “Mansory glue” for the Matt Armstrong fans 🤣.

Honestly though, mount it however you want. If it flies off, that’s between you and physics.

Features:

  • Designed for Bambu printers (256 × 256mm bed)
  • 6-piece modular print
  • Built-in dowel alignment
  • Easy glue-together assembly
  • Perfect for carbon fibre skinning or custom finishing

Basically: print it, glue it, stick it on the car, and pretend you planned the whole thing from the start.
