Description

Add a touch of quirky, artistic flair to your workspace with this unique 3D printable Hand Lamp! Designed to look like a realistic hand holding up a glowing light, this model acts as both a functional desk lamp and an eye-catching conversation starter. It features a recessed socket holder so the hardware stays hidden, giving the illusion that the hand is magically holding the bulb.

Perfect for vintage-style LED filament bulbs, this makes a fantastic nightstand light, desk accessory, or a great gift for lovers of oddities and unique home decor.

💡 Hardware Required:

  • Standard E14 socket: (A smaller plastic holder works best to keep it hidden inside the grip).
  • Power cord: Standard lamp cord with an inline switch.
  • E14 LED Bulb: A flame/candle style LED filament bulb is highly recommended for the best aesthetic.
  • Safety Warning: PLEASE USE LED BULBS ONLY! Incandescent bulbs generate too much heat and will warp or melt your 3D printed plastic.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or Matte PLA (Skin-tone, marble, or wood filaments look incredible with this design).
  • Layer Height: 0.12mm or 0.16mm is highly recommended to capture the realistic wrinkles and fine details of the hand.
  • Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid or cubic for good structural support).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 3 to 4 walls for a sturdy grip.
  • Supports: Yes. Tree/Organic supports are heavily recommended to support the fingers and the internal overhangs for the socket housing without ruining the surface texture.

🔧 Assembly:

  1. Thread your power cable up through the bottom of the wrist.
  2. Wire the cable to your E14 plastic socket.
  3. Pull the cable gently back down so the socket seats firmly snugly into the recessed cylindrical holder inside the hand.
  4. Screw in your E14 LED filament bulb, plug it in, and enjoy!
