This model is a customizable pencil accessory designed to be slid directly onto the body of a pencil. The name is printed in relief on a shaped base, creating an object that is both aesthetic and functional.

The model is fully parametric in OpenSCAD, so it can be easily modified to fit different names, fonts, or pencil diameters.

Thanks to the structure with an offset base and through-hole, the accessory remains stable on the pencil and can be used both as a decorative element and as a personal identifier.

  Name to display on the accessory.

  Font used for the text.

• dimensione_testo

  Text size in mm.

Base dimensions

• altezza_base

  Height of the base under the name.

• altezza_rilievo

  Height of the text embossment.

• offset_base

  Extra thickness of the base relative to the name's outline.

Pencil hole

• diametro_foro

  Diameter of the pencil hole.

• extra_foro_lato

  Extra space on the sides of the name for the hole length.

• offset_foro_z

  Allows vertical movement of the hole.

Letter spacing

• spaziatura_automatica

  Use spacing automatically calculated by the font.

• spaziatura_manual_mm

  Manual spacing between letters.

• fattore_larghezza_fallback

  Value used if the font does not return metrics.

Curve quality

• fn_liscio

  Curve detail level.

Printing suggestions

Recommended settings:

• layer height: 0.2 mm
• infill: 15–20%
• supports: not necessary
• recommended material: PLA or PETG
• multicolor printing recommended to improve contrast between base and name
• enable ironing
