Description

18650 Battery Housing - Flush Mount Design

This is a practical, panel-mountable battery box designed for a 3x18650 cell. It features a clean, professional finish, making it ideal for DIY electronics projects where a neat battery compartment is needed.

Key Features:

  • Easy Installation: Designed to fit perfectly into a 80x80 mm rectangular cutout.
  • Secure Fit: The outer rim ensures a flush mount, and it can be easily secured in place using adhesive/glue.
  • Durable Design: Optimized for PETG to ensure heat resistance and durability during use.

Recommended Print Settings:

  • Material: PETG (Recommended for better heat resistance and flexibility).
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
  • Infill: 25% (Provides good structural integrity).
  • Supports: Yes (Normal).
    • Pro tip: I used PLA as the support interface material for the PETG body to achieve a clean surface finish and easy support removal.
  • Brim: Yes. A manual brim is highly recommended for the top/rim of the box to prevent warping and ensure perfect bed adhesion.

Here is a printing guide for using PETG and PLA for support: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/filament-acc/filament/h2d-pla-and-petg-mutual-support
