If your filament collection is taking over your desk, you need a solution that is robust, affordable, and scalable.

This wall-mounted storage system is designed to hold an unlimited number of filament spools, keeping them organized, visible, and always ready to use.

Using reinforced 3D printed brackets and simple PVC pipes, you can build a rack of any length and finally bring order to your workspace.

 

🧩 What this model is 🧩

This model is a structural support bracket designed for FDM printing.

The reinforced triangular design ensures high resistance to vertical loads, making it ideal for supporting multiple filament spools.

Key features:

Dual-Pipe System – uses two 20 mm diameter PVC pipes to create a stable base that prevents spools from wobbling or falling.

Modular Design – simply print more brackets to extend the rack along your entire wall.

Quick Access – spools rest directly on the pipes, allowing you to swap filaments in seconds.

 

🛠 Installation 🛠

The bracket includes optimized mounting holes for a secure wall installation.

For best results we recommend:

Wall Plugs (Anchors): 6 mm diameter, 40 mm length
Screws: 4 mm diameter, 50 mm length

Steps

  1. Print the brackets (approximately one every 50–80 cm)
  2. Drill the wall and insert the 6×40 mm wall plugs
  3. Secure the brackets with 4×50 mm screws
  4. Insert the 20 mm PVC pipes
  5. Load your filament spools

Material: PETG recommended (strong and slightly flexible) or PLA
Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Wall Loops: 2
Infill: 15% Grid
Supports: Not required if oriented correctly on the build plate

 

🏠 Compatibility 🏠

Designed for standard 20 mm PVC pipes.

The geometry is optimized for standard 1 kg filament spools, but the dual-pipe system allows it to accommodate various spool sizes.
