Design features: Because everyone uses different aquarium water pump power (some are variable frequency), the piping configurations for bottom suction and surface suction vary, and their suction forces differ. Many online purchased and printed models I tested did not perform well for long-term stable operation

It is unrealistic to expect one skimmer head to handle various operating conditions. Therefore, by deeply understanding the working principle of aquarium skimmer heads and learning from various skimmer head design concepts on the market, I identified the root causes for the current skimmer heads' poor performance. After multiple design iterations and tests, I finally settled on a skimmer head with an adjustable ring. The adjustable ring can be used and adjusted according to each user's specific on-site conditions. It innovatively incorporates an adjustable control ring and optimizes the flow channel based on fluid mechanics principles, allowing it to rotate easily even with small water flows

Functions of the adjustable ring: 1 It controls the height of the skimmer head based on its own buoyancy

2 It adjusts the size of the flow channel opening, thereby controlling the flow rate

3 Adjusting the flow rate also changes the rotation speed, thus altering the visual effect

4 The adjustable ring rotates in contact with the water surface, significantly balancing the skimmer head

Instructions for use: 1 Please ensure the surface suction pipe has suction. It's best if both bottom and surface suction are on the same straight pipe, avoid using an elbow to solely draw out the surface suction pipe

2 Ensure the surface suction pipe is vertical, which is key for the skimmer head to rotate smoothly and reduce friction

3 When adjusting the height of the adjustable ring, ensure its bottom surface is in contact with the water surface. This is crucial for the adjustable ring to function effectively

4 By adjusting the height of the adjustable ring, you can regulate the skimmer head's water intake and rotation speed

5 When placing the skimmer head, submerge the entire unit below the water surface and let it float up to find its balance (for first-time use, it is recommended to soak the skimmer head in water for a few minutes)

6 When installing the adjustable ring, please first check the print quality of the skimmer head's threads. If there are burrs, please clean them up first, otherwise installation will be difficult

Design testing: After multiple iterations of adjustments and tests, this skimmer head demonstrates strong adaptability, does not sink, has a fast rotation speed, and operates smoothly
